How to Create Cinematic Videos with AI
A practical walkthrough for making AI generated videos that actually feel cinematic — shot in a single workspace, without hopping between four different tools.
Why one workspace beats a toolchain
Most AI video workflows today force you to storyboard in one app, prompt stills in another, render motion in a third, and edit in a fourth. Every export loses fidelity and context. Gizo AI collapses that pipeline: chat, image generation, and video generation share the same prompt history and reference images, so cinematic direction survives every step.
Step 1 — Storyboard in chat
Open AI Chat and describe the scene in cinematic language: lens, lighting, subject, mood, camera movement. Ask Gizo to break it into 3–5 shots. Iterating in chat is cheap; iterating on rendered video is not.
Step 2 — Lock the look with stills
Copy the strongest shot prompt into the Image Generator with the "Cinematic" style preset and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Generate several variations until lighting, framing, and color feel right. This becomes your visual anchor.
Step 3 — Render motion
Send the finalized prompt to the Video Generator. Use a short duration first (2–4 seconds) with a specific camera direction — "slow dolly in", "handheld orbit", "static wide" — instead of leaving motion implicit. Short renders let you correct course before spending time on longer clips.
Step 4 — Iterate, then export
Adjust one variable at a time: prompt, motion, or duration. When a render lands, export it directly from the video panel. Keep the winning prompt in your chat thread so the next shot inherits the same visual language.
Prompting patterns that hold up
- Lead with subject and action, then lens, then lighting, then mood.
- Name a real cinematography reference ("shot like a Deakins night interior").
- Be explicit about what should not move — most artifacts come from over-motion.
- Keep aspect ratio consistent between the still and the video render.
